This client enlisted our help to transform their upstairs living area into a cozy and functional space for their kids and grandkids to stay overnight. We designed and built a custom six-sleeper bunk bed in the upstairs great room to accommodate their growing family, as well as converted their existing two-bed bunk room into a full bathroom (see Bathroom 2). The bunk bed features four individual sleeping spaces, each with its own wall sconce and cubby wired with USB outlets, along with two pull-out trundle beds complete with drawer fronts. Additional details include shiplap accent walls, safety railings for the upper bunks, and a central staircase between the two bunk units. The client collaborated with local designer Nichole Johnson to select the sconces and paint color, adding a timeless look to the space.
